Flesherton Real Estate and Homes for Sale

As a real estate agent who specializes in Flesherton, let me be your guide to what Flesherton Ontario has to offer as a neighbourhood to finding homes for sale in the area.

Flesherton is a small community of 700 residents located in southern Ontario’s Grey County and in the Grey Highlands municipality. Despite the size of this quaint little community, if you look back on its earlier history, Flesherton is a great story of how a village can rebound from economic distress. Although it has remained small in size throughout its history, this community has been nicknamed the “Gateway to the Beaver Valley.”

From a business standpoint, Flesherton along with its many surrounding villages are all represented in the local area Chamber of Commerce. The small business district is comprised of several unique retail shops such as hardware and plumbing stores as well as a farmer’s market. There is also a bakery and a cheese boutique as well as several restaurants that offer different cuisines.

There is a diverse range of cultural activities that individuals and families alike will all enjoy including a growing community of artists and musicians. There are several art galleries and studios that open up for general public viewing during the annual Saugeen Autumn Leaves Studio Tour the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. However, Flesherton is ideal for family living. There is an arena, the Canadian Legion, a community centre, a post office, a recently built public library, several parks, a swimming pond, two churches, and two schools.

If you’re an aficionado of the great outdoors, Flesherton is an ideal location for you and your family’s next home as well as a great place to raise your children. Besides the swimming pond, you can enjoy 100 acres of some of excellent hiking trails more commonly known as the Flesherton Hills. This area is conveniently located behind the local high school. The bottom line is that you should visit Flesherton and explore what it has to offer and why this friendly little community deserves the nickname discussed above.
